My computer speakers dont work!!! HELP!?
A wile back the speakers stopped working. I’ve checked and all the wires are still connected to the right outputs but the speakers still dont work. I’ve gone onto control panel but it says No Audio device.
Last week I came home from my moms house and the computer was weird. Like, instead of the blue bars (on start and on top of the browser) they were the ugly old tan.
I’m thinking the computer crashed but none of the data was wiped. (My dad probably tried to get rid of a virus or something.)
Is there anything I could do? I’m only 14 and such so I can’t go buy anything or reinstall stuff. If its too big of a problem I’ll talk to my dad.

try running system restore first, if that dont work, then go to the computers manufacturer site and re-download the sound driver.
system restore is found by going to the start menu, accessories/system tools, restore (or in vista, trye restore in the search box in the start menu) then follow instructions, and restore it to an earlier point.
make sure though, it is not muted.. it happens a lot

If it says “No audio device” it’s probably in the speakers itself, maybe some loose connection sort of thing. Take it to a repairer and Good luck!
