Why does my Computer Screen take so long to display?
After i turn it on, it usually takes 20 minutes until it can display images. The monitor “power” button is normally solid blue, but now it’s blinking blue. When it does turn on, the screen is static-y, but after a few seconds the images are normal. The wires connecting to the monitor isn’t loose or anything. I have a HP screen and a Compaq cpu.
Please tell me what’s wrong and how i can fix it. i don’t want to wait 20 minutes before i can use my computer!!
you could try connecting another known good condition monitor to your Compaq cpu, if all goes well then the problem is your first monitor. if the problem remain the same with a different monitor then your vga port is going bad. you may have to install a PCI video card to have your computer up and running again
