LOVE THIS LITTLE NETBOOK ! 5 STARS
I have used this Netbook for about a month now and I can say that this has been the greatest computer purchase ever. I bought this because I am a college student and I have been stuck with a desktop computer sitting in my dorm room. It was very inconvenient to write notes or even go to the library between classes just to check your emails and stuff. After purchasing this netbook, I can carry it around in my
backpack without worrying about the weight and use it everywhere I go. I use this netbook to check email, surf the web, take notes during class, Skype, write essays, etc. I would highly recommend this Asus netbook to any college students who are looking for an affordable portable netbook. For far I haven’t had a problem with it. Battery life is very good. I can last the whole day on a single charge. The screen is a glossy, but it’s not a huge issue. With this purchase, I also purchased the mCover
hard cover for it and it looks very cute. The white makes it look very sleek and clean and since the screen is bordered with black, it gives it a very nice
sophisticated look since if it was all white, it could’ve looked very toy-ish.
The typing is great on this little thing. I got used to typing on it in about a day. I would recommend getting a keyboard cover since little dusts are visible.
I love this Netbook and I am very satisfied with this purchase, especially from Amazon ! (: 5 stars !!

Sturdy!!!
I have had this net book almost a year, and it is very reliable and sturdy. That is why I am writing this review, tonight I accidentally knocked it off the table (at least 4 feet high) to the hard/linoleum floor, and thought it was done, for sure. But it turned right back on. I could not believe it. So I pulled up Amazon to spread the word. I think if it had been an HP or Dell it would be in many pieces right now.
This is the first review I have written, because I can not believe how well built this net book is!!!

A product that actually made my life better
I did a lot of research before buying a netbook. I was specifically looking for a lightweight, portable Windows netbook with enough power that I could actually do stuff other than surf the net on it. I’ve had my Asus Eee PC for about 4 days now, and I love it. First, I definitely recommend getting the white case. The black edge around the monitor really picks up fingerprints and the white case doesn’t at all. I can imagine the black/darker cases look really dirty really quickly just because of smudges. In addition to the white case, it’s nice looking, overall. Aesthetics aside, it’s been incredibly easy to use. I had next to no difficulty adapting to the keyboard – the keys are big enough to type quickly and easily and they’ve got a nice depth to them that makes you feel comfortable that you’re actually hitting keys. I also thought the function key secondary keys and shortcuts were set up really intuitively and conveniently. The screen is nice and clear, and I’ve been able to read, play a few games, and do work without much trouble. I would never use this as a primary computer but for doing work in a coffee shop while I’m waiting around, it’s been perfect. In terms of speed, I haven’t even upgraded to 2 GB of RAM yet, and I’ve been able to run a lot with no trouble. Of course, the first thing I did was run CCleaner to remove a bunch of extraneous startup processes. After that, I’ve been able to run Google Chrome to surf the internet and a couple of Microsoft Office programs simultaneously without too much lag at all. I’m sure it’ll be even better once I get the extra RAM. The battery life is also awesome. I had it fully charged this morning and then did about 2.5 hours of word processing and 2.5 hours of watching netflix streaming videos and still have about 40% of the battery life left. The 11 hours of battery life might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I think even about 8 hours of moderately – highly process intensive battery life is pretty fantastic.
I highly recommend this netbook if you’re looking for something portable but functional.

Great for trips
We bought this for a 2 week Japan trip so the kids wouldn’t be bored on the long airplane rides. Loaded it with movies and music. Worked out great. We would use it at the hotel in the morning to plan out our day using online guides or write trip reports and backup our camera photos. The kids used it to wind down with some videos before bed or keep from getting bored on the longer train rides. Light enough to put in a daypack, and also didn’t weigh down our main travel backpacks much.
Also used it on a recent business trip. Battery life is great if you use the power saving function. Flew across the US on 2 flights, organized photos and listened to music and still had 3hrs of battery life left at the end of the day. Also spent time uninstalling bloated MS Office, which isp pe-installed, but you have to sign up for a trial license for it. Open Office will go on it instead.
Using it more and more around the house, too. Much easier to move around with it than our older big laptop. I like that it boots up so quickly, even under Windows. The Linux-based quick-start OS is also nice, although I don’t think the screen aspect ratio is set correctly under it and I wish I could install my own Linux programs on there.
The high-def videos I’ve shot with our Canon T1i camera playback a bit choppy, but the videos we’ve loaded on to it, which use a bit of compression, all playback fine.
