How can I prevent my backpack from damaging my books?
I am a graduate student in college and I often carry a backpack full of novels, books of essays, a big binder, and a small case that holds my netbook computer. It is a big large sack with only a small separate compartment on the front and on the top flap. I’ve had it for years and its really sturdy, but I’ve had it bend up the covers of a few of my books. I was embarrassed when it happened to one that a professor let me borrow. When I Google this topic, I only find information about backpacks hurting kids backs. What I would like to know is how to prevent this from happening? I’m imagining building some sort of separate compartments into the bag or maybe I’ll need to buy a better backpack. What do you think, Yahoo Answers community?
This may not sound fashionable, but with all you have to carry, I would invest in a rigid luggage case on wheels to tote around to your classes. Being that you’re a grad student, appearances really shouldn’t matter to you anymore.
