Camera Case Magnet – Bad For My Laptop?

I have a leather Nikon Coolpix S60 case (original with purchase) that has a magnetic closure that I put on top of a box that contains my laptop computer. Did I do any harm to the laptop by doing this? I am probably being overly-paranoid about it, but I would like to know if the magnet in the case is strong enough to have ruined anything in my laptop…?

Strong magnets can erase information on hard drives. I wouldn’t use a Computer Bag that had any magnets on it.
