Do you think I picked too hard of a class schedule for next year?
It will be my junior year and this year my schedule is really easy like tons of computer classes, art, photography, landscaping ect..and im getting like Cs and Bs in them but im not really trying.
But ive found I really like the challenging classes like my english class and computer accounting and math and stuff, and I really wanna challenge myself.
So this is my next years schedule-
U.S. History
World Literature
Modern Novels
Chemistry
Human Anatomy
Alternate Energy Science
Geometry
Advanced Algebra
Medical Terminology (counts as 3 college credits, its a college course)
Intro to Business (counts as 3 college credits, its a college course)
So it’s lots of English, science and math.
Do you think Im challenging myself too much and that I should get some easier classes so that it isn’t too much all at once?
If you feel that you can handle all of that at once then go ahead. The concern I have is that you have C’s in “easy classes” and your reasoning is that your not challenged enough. But what if you end up with C’s in these classes is your excuse going to be that they were to hard? You need to be positive that you can handle it. Especially if you do other activities like sports, band, or clubs. My junior year I took:
AP U.S. History
AP English Language
Advanced Ceramics
Trigonometry
Pre-Calculus
Chemistry
Gym/Health (required)
and I balanced it with two sports, dance, and five clubs, and I did just fine. So instead of asking us, you are the one who knows your own abilities. Your the one with the decision. Ask people who are close to you and know what you do in school, such as your parents, friends, teachers, and guidance counselors. Also remember that your junior year counts so much for college. Colleges love to see challenging courses, but they love to see high grades in the challenging courses.
